Definitions of poverty: breakdown by age

In Spring 2009, Urban Exchange asked Winnipeggers for their opinions about poverty in Winnipeg. One of the main questions was “In your opinion, what is poverty?”

The responses to this open-ended question are interesting. On pages 6-9 in the full report (click here to download Poverty in Sight: A Winnipeg Perspective) we’ve shared some highlights from the findings.

The chart below allows you to drill deeper into the results. Click on the legend at right to see which definitions of poverty were most common for a specific age group. (You can use CRTL + Click to select more than one age group and do a side-by-side comparison).
