Welcome!
Urban Exchange is a United Way of Winnipeg Advisory Panel made up of hundreds of Winnipeggers from all walks of life who are interested in shaping the future of our city by talking about what’s important to them. It’s a way to share your views and find out what others are saying.
It’s also a way for United Way to stay connected to the entire community and to be guided by Winnipeggers’ priorities.
Here’s how Urban Exchange works
You’re welcome to participate as often or as little as you’d like. If you decide to become a member of the Urban Exchange Advisory Panel (by indicating your interest in receiving future surveys and by providing us with your contact information so we can connect with you) you’ll have a few opportunities to participate every year.
Right now, you can participate by completing our current survey – Exploring Our Values. There will also be regular features on this website that you can respond to.
Panellists have also suggested focus groups, online forums, and special events would be great ways to connect with people and hear what they have to say.
The impact?
United Way will combine your responses with those of the other participants, analyze them, and use the summarized results to:
• Understand the vision, concerns, priorities and values of Winnipeggers
• Help guide and affirm United Way’s decisions about priorities and areas of importance
• Identify new areas and challenges on which to focus
United Way will share the summarized results with you and other panel members, to generate further thinking and dialogue about what concerns you and what’s important to you.
We will also share the summarized information with decision-makers, planners and service providers in government, business, and voluntary organizations so it can inform their decisions.
Our hope is that your thoughts and opinions, combined with those of hundreds of other Winnipeggers, will help to bring people and organizations together to address the complex issues that matter most to Winnipeggers.
